Frozen festival awaits this month

The Whaling Museum and Education Center, in conjunction with Clix, is hosting Frozen Fest in celebration of the winter season and the much beloved Disney film ‘Frozen’.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Elsa and make crafts based on Olaf, who are two of the main characters. There will also be face painting, free ice pops, and the opportunity to take pictures in the Clix Photo Booth. On the educational side, attendees will also be able to learn about the arctic whales.

The Whaling Museum and Education Center displays exhibits that detail the history of Cold Spring Harbor, New York in the whaling industry, and many others that explore the connection between humans, whales, and the sea. Visitors can see artifacts like a fully outfitted 19th Century whaleboat, tools used by whalers, and a complete sperm whale jaw. There is also a Family Workshop area at which visitors can enjoy interactive puzzles, toys, and games related to whaling.

The promoters for the museum may look to printing companies to help with advertising. Flyers, Posters and Postcards can be great tools for reaching out to people in Cold Spring Harbor and nearby areas like Huntington or Lloyd Harbor.

Frozen Fest will take place on Sunday, December 28, from noon until 3:00 pm. There is a $10 admission fee for children and a $6 regular museum fee for adults. Adult members of the Whaling Museum can attend free of charge.
