Fish expert to give presentation at Huntington library

Chris the Fish Guy will be visiting the Huntington Public Library in August to give a lecture on shark research.

Long Island White Shark Research with Chris the Fish Guy is an informative program where guests can learn about the research conducted by the South Fork Natural History Museum. The presentation will focus on the ongoing Shark Research and Education Program. Attendees will also find out about the sharks that were tagged by a small group of researchers. The presentation will be held in the library’s main auditorium and will last for an hour.

Chris the Fish Guy, also known as Christopher Paparo, is the sole proprietor of Fish Guy Photos and the current president of the New York State Outdoor Writers Association. Paparo worked at the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center as its senior aquarist for over 13 years, and was an educator for the Okeanos Ocean Research Foundation. His work has been featured in many publications, including The Express Magazine, On The Water Magazine, and The Fisherman.

The presentation will be held on Monday, August 14 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost to listen to Paparo’s lecture, though registration is required. The event is open to all library patrons. Organizations that host educational activities similar to this can make custom ads with poster printing to market these events to consumers.
