Feline-friendly fundraiser to help Huntingtons homeless cats

A “purr-fect” fundraiser will help to make sure every cat has a home to call its own, and Huntington residents are encouraged to join in the fun.

Northport Cat Rescue association has organized its first ever 50/50 raffle, and the proceeds will benefit programs that find loving homes for abandoned or unwanted kittens and cats. All of the proceeds from this activity will be used for the benefit of the rescue, which is a 501(c) (3) register charitable organization, and tickets are being sold for $25 each.

There will only be 1,000 tickets sold for the draw, and those who purchase one will be supporting initiatives that provide homeless cats and kittens with shelter, medical care and socialization. The goal is to prepare them for a forever home, and as the draw will be an even split, the winner will receive 50% of any monies raised.

Due to COVID-19, the organizer of this activity has made some adjustments. Each person who buys a ticket will have a photo of it sent to them via email, and a video of the draw will be added to the Northport Cat Rescue website and social media accounts. A poster printing company can aid in spreading the world about this type of function, and can even prepare a graphic design for the occasion.

Tickets for this raffle are now on sale, and they can be purchased through the organization's website. The draw date will be January 15, 2021.
