An egg painting workshop is coming to the Huntington area in a few weeks, helping local artists and creatives celebrate a spring holiday in style.
The Ukrainian Egg: Papier Mache Workshop will open its doors to local artists and interested parties who want to learn the basics of painting decorative eggs from Oksana Danziger. She will be the event’s instructor, providing an immersive and hands-on learning experience suitable for guests of all experience levels.
Students in the workshop will learn the ins and outs of painting the delicate eggs, which are twice as large as real eggs. The size will make it easier to decorate and paint them compared to other options while getting intricate with painting styles. The eggs and their designs are inspired by the traditional Ukrainian pysanka. Brochure printing is a fantastic way to provide tips and background information about the painting process and Ukrainian eggs to help students retain more information.
Danziger will explain the meanings behind the patterns, colors, and motifs and will provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere to all guests. After the workshop, participants can take their eggs home to use as decorations.
The workshop will be held at the Conklin Farmhouse and Barn in Huntington on Monday, April 14, with the doors opening at 6:00 PM. Tickets can be booked online for $40 per person.
