Craftswoman to host local workshop

This May, Nest on Main invites individuals to participate in a String Art Map Workshop instructed by Marta Makarski from Made by M.

Under the guidance of Makarski, participants will craft a unique piece filled with provided seashells. Those interested can also incorporate their own glass and seashells into their designs.

All necessary materials, including a pre-stained aqua-colored wooden board, threads in two different colors, seashells, nails, a Long Island template, and tools to be used in the glass, will be supplied. No prior experience is required as step-by-step guidance will be given. Crafts-loving individuals from the neighboring city of Huntington may also be in attendance at this event.

The cost to attend the event is $73.34 on Eventbrite. As a bonus, each participant will obtain a Nest store discount exclusive to the event, offering a 10% discount on one standard-priced item purchased up to $100, or a 5% discount on one standard-priced item up to $1,000.

Due to limited seating and material expense, refunds will not be issued for this workshop. However, any individuals unable to attend can transfer their reservation to someone else by contacting the store in advance at 631-651-9173.
