The country's biggest RV rental company, Cruise America, recently opened a location in Bay Shore's BBQ World, where it will offer international operations as well as domestic rentals.
Cruise America decided to team up with BBQ World because customers of both companies tend to be interested in traveling in the outdoors. BBQ World, which has been in business for 29 years, sees to its customers’ needs with regard to propane for their RVs and BBQs, and is open seven days per week, all year.
BBQ World's principal, Paul Spina, said the company listens to its customers and helps them find solutions. One of the things they have heard repeatedly is that people want to take road trips, but decide against doing so because they don't want to have to care for an RV by themselves. BBQ World provides the support that makes such travel possible.
The new location will focus on international travel, and will work to make trips fun and relaxing by catering to customers. A service will be available whereby people renting an RV can order groceries and have the vehicle stocked so it's ready to go when the pick it up.
Cruise America's Randall Smalley said BBQ World's attention to its customers' needs has enabled it to form lasting friendships, which makes it a great fit with Cruise America. New locations like this can build brand awareness by distributing promotional Pens to early customers.
