New Mexican eatery to come to Bay Shore

Bay Shore will get a new Chipotle, according to a recent announcement. The fast-food chain, which serves Mexican food, will open a location at 1675 Sunrise Highway.

The new restaurant will need to hire approximately 25 people to fill part-time positions. The Bay Shore location will be Chipotle’s 35th Long Island-area restaurant. The chain has over 2,450 restaurants in the United States and around the world.

A Chipotle spokesperson said Bay Shore and the surrounding area are a great fit for the company because they are constantly looking for locations where they can establish partnerships with locals, and responsibly source and cook real food for their customers.

Chipotle believes Bay Shore as a community will enjoy having access to wholesome food that is prepared without additional flavors, colors, or other additives. When businesses like this open, managers could distribute Promotional Products to show their appreciation to customers for stopping in, and also to help build brand awareness.

Chipotle says it is proud of its policy of using the best raw ingredients, which it sources from farms in the local area, rather than procuring them from factories. In 2015, the company switched away from including GMO ingredients completely.

At present, Chipotle says it will open November 13, but if there are any difficulties in construction, they could cause a delay in the opening.
