Islandia, about two miles from Central Islip, will soon be home to Allure Metal Works.
The company, which is based in Ronkonkoma, makes and distributes air ducts for HVAC systems. Under a new lease it entered into with Rechler Equity Partners, Allure will lease a 30,400 square foot space.
The location, which is located at 71 Hoffman Lane, will be home to approximately 30 employees of the family owned business. The new facility will serve as the manufacturing and distribution center for Allure's sheet metal products. There is less room for offices at the new location, but more manufacturing space, and it was chosen because of increasing demand for the company's oval air ducts, which is coming from construction projects in Manhattan.
The company's founder and consultant says the move will help Allure prepare for the future. Allure is currently moving, and expects its new facility to be completely operational inside 30 days.
