A special raffle event is coming to Bay Shore at the end of next month.
Billed as the biggest “Raffle Basket Extravaganza” on Long Island, the Basket of Hope evening features raffles, fun, and food. The fundraiser is for CN Guidance & Counseling Services, a non-profit organization that helps residents of the area who have mental health issues and/or difficulties with substance abuse. The evening is dedicated to the memory of Shaun La Macchia. Poster printing is often used to publicize events such as this.
Raffle prizes range in size and value from Gift Certificates and gift cards to a vacation for two. Admission is $25 in advance, or $35 on the day of the event. Ticket buyers will receive a single sheet of blue-colored raffle tickets; coffee or tea; dessert; plus cocktails or other beverages. They will be able to purchase from the bar menu at the event.
There are additional raffle tickets available. Blue tickets are $25 for a single sheet, or five sheets for $100. Green, 50/50 ticket sheets are $20 each, or $100 for six sheets.
At this time, the Basket of Hope is planned for April 29, at Nicky's on the Bay in Bay Shore. The raffle drawing starts at 7:30 pm, although the doors will be open at 6:00 pm. The evening is scheduled to end at 9:00 pm. Those who are planning on attending may want to check with the venue for any possible changes in scheduling.
