Fun event returns to Bay Shore area

A feast for foodies is on the way.

The “Taste the World” Famous Food Festival 2020 is returning to the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park, near Bay Shore, giving attendees a chance to do just that—sample foods from across the globe. More than 65 food vendors from Long Island, New York, and the region will be on hand, serving up their specialties. A partial list of those already scheduled includes:

• All American Wontons, serving bacon-mac-and-cheese wontons; spinach-artichoke wontons; and brownie madness wontons
• Caribbean Street Eats, offering tropical drinks, cheese-steak pretzel braid, and a fried shark sandwich
• G & L Gyros, which will have a Gyro Chicken Pita Shish-Kebab available
• Sam's Fried Ice Cream, in five flavors

In addition, there will also be a wine and beer garden, live music, cooking demonstrations by professional chefs, a butterfly exhibit, games, contests, a photo booth, a rock wall, a virtual reality game, and a cooking competition between fire department and police personnel, who are facing off in a “Battle of the Badges.”

There will also be psychic readings and massages available, as well as an artists' tent. The kids have not been forgotten, as the area designated for them includes a magic show, balloon artists, and face painting.

The festival is set for October 10 and 11; admission is only $5 per day or $8.50 for both. Flyer printing can create handouts listing vendors at events like this.
