The Youth Squad of the Bay Shore Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance gives young people an opportunity to learn new skills while serving their community, and a morning fundraiser will help to fund its efforts.
The Squad will be hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast this May, where monies raised will be utilized for training, attending conventions, and equipment. All ages are encouraged to come out, and while they enjoy their meal, they can find out about the organization and what it does.
The menu for the occasion will include pancakes and syrup, as well as bacon, sausages, hot cocoa, teas, juices, condiments, and, of course, coffee. After breakfast, everyone can try their luck in the even-split draw and bid on the items on the block in the basket auction. Many of the Corporate Gifts included will have been donated by the local community.
According to the event listing, any young people between the ages of 13 and 18 who are interested in a career in the medical field are welcome to apply to join the Squad. Anyone who wants to find out more can contact mdolan@bsbra.org.
This tasty way to start a springtime Sunday will be on offer on May 19. The doors will open at 9:00 am, and breakfast will be served at 911 Alette Place in Bay Shore.
