The Rum Academy LI Tiki Cocktail workshop is set to take place in Bay Shore this September.
The New York Cocktail Expo has organized this event for people who wish to learn how to make tiki cocktails in a hands-on learning environment. Author Shannon Mustipher will be the instructor leading this in-person Bay Shore event.
The workshop will involve two classes, the first of which runs for two hours. Students will learn about and sample an international variety of different rums and how best to use them to make tiki cocktails. For the second class, participants will take an hour and a half to explore how to create a balanced tiki cocktail with different ingredients.
At the end of the event, students will have basic knowledge of the different types of rum and how to create custom tiki cocktails. The hosts of educational events like this often utilize flyer printing to distribute printouts highlighting important class information to each participant.
Class fees are priced at $44.33 per person. Participants also have the option to purchase an event-themed shirt for an additional $23.04. A document outlining class details and cocktail recipes will be sent to each student.
Classes one and two of the tiki cocktail event will be held at the Coastal Kitchen & Daiquiri Bar on Monday, September 12 between 12:30 pm and 5:00 pm.
