Bay Shore rocks into the new year

An unusual cover band will be helping Bay Shore residents celebrate the new year soon.

The Gypsy Felons will be appearing at Napper Tandy's in Bay Shore. The Felons are a cover band, but they do not devote themselves to the songs of a single group. Instead, they play songs from different bands that have appeared over the years, and put their own spin on them. They assure audiences their mix is eclectic, and not the same playlist used by other cover bands. The Felons are a six-piece group that can also transform to a three-piece acoustic ensemble to play at happy hours, or in smaller venues.

Napper Tandy's is an Irish pub, and catering company, located in what was the Nutty Irishman building in the community's downtown. The building housing the pub was once a fire station, and has been completely renovated – a process that started in 2017. The pub is part of a chain, but the chef has created dishes specifically for Bay Shore customers.

This is the first time the group will appear at Napper Tandy's, and they are excited to make their debut at this venue. The performance is scheduled for January 4, beginning at 9:00 pm and winding up about 1:00 am the next morning. Napper Tandy's is on Main Street in Bay Shore. Poster printing is often used to advertise events such as this locally.
