A Bay Shore area presentation will explore the opportunities for community service people have in their own home area, as well as the benefits of giving up their time to volunteer.
A session all about Good Samaritan Hospital and its volunteer program has been scheduled, and it will take place in person at Bay Shore-Brightwaters Public Library. Its workshop number is BBA409, and everyone is welcome.
The function will explore various volunteer positions available at the hospital, including the duties that each involves. There will be a discussion of its Patient Navigators program as well as its Brave Hearts, Veteran’s, Baby Basket, and other support initiatives. The types of opportunities in its gift shops and off site thrift shop will be discussed and there will be time for questions from the audience.
Volunteers are usually vital to the organizations they serve, and these not-for-profit groups often choose to thank them for their support. Corporate Gifts that have been customized by Print shops can be a simple and effective way to give them a tip of the hat for all they do.
This introduction to the volunteer opportunities available at Good Samaritan Hospital will be offered on Friday, April 11. It begins at 10:00 am and wraps up an hour later. Questions about the function can be directed to brittany.colasanto@chsli.org.
