Bay Shore Historical Society schedules open house

Bay Shore has a long and storied past, which will be on full display during an open house celebration this weekend.

The Bay Shore Historical Society works on projects throughout the year, and it will be welcoming both community members and visitors of all ages for its annual Open House. Everyone is encouraged to drop by, and there will be a special exhibit in the mix, courtesy of the Bay Shore Fire Department.

The organization will be hosting the occasion at the Gibson-Mack-Halt House, which is at 22 Maple Avenue. There will be an assortment of exhibits to view that explore the area’s past and how the community has changed over the years. At noon, a public barbecue lunch will be on offer, and if the weather permits, an antique fire truck will be parked on site for the attendees to photograph and enjoy viewing.

Local service organizations often play an important role in the communities they serve. A poster printing company can supply a variety of marketing ideas that may be budget friendly for a not-for-profit group.

This celebration of Bay Shore’s past, present, and future, and the people who call it home, has been scheduled for this Saturday, June 7. The start time for the Open House will be 10:00 am and it will wrap up at 4:00 pm.
