Bay Shore evening to address poverty

Mercy Haven works to address homelessness and poverty in the Bay Shore area, and those who attend a celebration planned in its honor will be lending a hand to its efforts.

The not for profit group recently announced the date for its Fall Cocktail Party, and it will be welcoming guests at Captain Bill’s Restaurant. This will be the 38th year that the function has been held, and there is enough space on the guests list for 200.

The gathering will have a cocktail party vibe, and everyone can choose their favorite drink or try something new. A guest speaker will share their personal story of how Mercy Haven helped them, and all of the attendees will be able to try their luck at winning one of the premium prizes that will be drawn for in the raffle. The monies raised will be utilized in projects in areas from Westbury to Riverhead, and all ages will benefit.

One of the keys for hosting a successful fundraiser is often how it is marketed, and Print shops will be happy to help. They can provide both equipment and experience, and will be able to prepare everything from personalized notes of thanks for the sponsors and supporters to Letterheads.

The 38th annual Fall Cocktail Benefit Fundraiser is on the way for November 5th. The festivities will kick off at 4:00 pm, and the location will be 122 Ocean Avenue in Bay Shore.
