Medical conference heads to Las Vegas

Emergency medicine professionals should consider attending an upcoming conference in Las Vegas.

The ACEP24 Scientific Assembly - American College Of Emergency Physicians will give attendees a chance to network with peers, and learn about the latest developments in the field. There will be something for everyone, whether they have been attending this conference for years, or are coming for the first time.

Like most such conferences, this one offers such a large number of classes, demonstrations, and breakout sessions that attendees will have to pick and choose carefully. Some of the classes include “Emergency Ultrasound Management,” and how to make an Emergency Department friendly for patients with dementia.

The conference also offers hands-on workshops in such subjects as an “Advanced Airway Techniques Lab,” a “Procedural Ultrasound Lab,” a “Transvenous Pacemaker Lab” and several others.

New tracks have been added to this conference to showcase an emergency physician’s core pillars: Advocacy, Resuscitation, and Diagnostics. Classes in the Advocacy track will empower doctors to make change, both professionally and personally. In the Resuscitation track, attendees will review extreme cases and procedure labs, and those going to lectures in the Diagnostician track will enjoy advanced courses to help them enhance their diagnostic skills.

The ACEP 24 Scientific Assembly is scheduled for September 29 – October 2, at the Mandalay Bay Resort. Organizers of events like this have the option of contacting Print shops to create suitable course materials.
