Local library to host Fleetwood Mac tribute

In a couple of weeks, Bob Burger and friends will be presenting a tribute to iconic band Fleetwood Mac.

Everyone will be invited to sing along with golden oldies by the band, such as ‘Hold Me’, ‘Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow’, and ‘Go Your Own Way’.

As a songwriter, Burger collaborated with others to write and publish more than 40 songs, the most recognized being ‘Little Suzie’ by Styx. Over the years, this songwriter, bass player, lawyer, and electrical engineer turned solo artist has opened for artists such as Hootie and Blowfish and Meat Loaf.

He has also recorded CDs on his own with the Big Brave music label. He and several of his friends enjoy playing tribute concerts to some of his favorite artists, such as Tom Petty, Neil Young, and of course Fleetwood Mac. One of those gigs came in 2007 when he provided music for Jon Bon Jovi’s Hamptons Labor Day party. The evening turned into a jam session with Paul McCartney, Jimmy Buffet, Billy Joel, and Roger Waters.

This musical event will be held at Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Road, Manalapan Township, January 25, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Doors open at 12:30 and seats will be first come, first served. Guests are advised that seats may not be reserved for other people.
