Paper-shredding event to benefit rehab center

East Hanover’s Cheshire Home will hold a charity paper-shredding event next month to raise money for its rehabilitation programs aimed at helping individuals with spinal cord injuries.

Cheshire Home is a rehabilitation center for physically disabled young adults with spinal cord injuries and neurological impairments. The center provides mental health and emotional support, specialized nursing care, physical therapy, and educational and vocation training to help residents achieve their individual maximum level of independence. Donations raised from the Cheshire Home’s Paper Shred event will go towards these various resident services.

Security Shredding of Morris Plains will conduct the actual shredding in their state-of-the-art shredding truck. People wishing to donate will be instructed to drive into Cheshire Home’s parking lot, open their trunk for volunteers to remove their Boxes, and then drop a check or cash into the indicated donation box. Alternatively, people can text GIVE or DONATE to 973-834-7944 and show their receipt. Only standard file-size Boxes will be accepted. Those with questions can call 973-966-1232 or email Kim Boyer at kboyer@chesirenj.org.

The specifics of charity events like this are often advertised in helpful Brochures, which organizers can easily Print at businesses specializing in brochure printing services.
