East Hanover workshop to help dentists master skills

The East Hanover Examinations and Records Course will be held in a couple of weeks, providing dentists with the opportunity to master skills needed on the path to complete dentistry training.

The course is organized by the Dawson Academy, a postgraduate educational and clinical facility that focuses on promoting the advancement of complete dentist education. It is a cornerstone of the Dawson philosophy that an effective treatment plan begins with a complete and thorough records appointment.

The three-day program will include hands-on training from the Metropolitan Center for Complete Dentistry in East Hanover. The training will go into all areas of the exam and records process. Some learning objectives that students will meet are acquiring the proper skills to perform a TMJ/Occlusal examination, gaining knowledge of the co-diagnostic process of the examination, learning how to perform a correct face-bow transfer, gaining skills to use a macro digital camera to shoot diagnostic photographs, and mastering the use of the lucia (hook-shaped) jig.

The program will award 22 continuing education credits to those students who complete the course. Such professional workshops often also give out completion certificates, which may require the help of local Print shops to create.

The East Hanover Examinations and Records Course is scheduled for January 13 through January 15. It will take place at the Metropolitan Center for Complete Dentistry located at 49 Ridgedale Avenue, Suite 201. The class price is $5,495.
