East Hanover to host yearly martial arts event

This weekend, The World Chun Kuhn Taekwondo Federation will hold the 5th Annual Founder’s Championship in East Hanover.

The championship will be in honor of Supreme Master Kim Bok-Man, founder of Chun Kuhn Taekwondo and one of the most influential leaders in the art of taekwondo. Chun Kuhn Taekwondo involves all styles of self-defense related to taekwondo, as well as training in the use of traditional weapons. Supreme Master Kim Bok-Man passed away this April, and Grandmaster Brad Shipp, president of the Federation and Kim Bok-Man's long-time protégé, designated the 5th annual championship in honor of his master.

The tournament will consist of open Forms, open team Forms, open weapon Forms, board breaking, and sparring. Winners of first, second, and third place will receive medals in all events except for team Forms. First place teams of each division will receive championship trophies. Lunch, snacks, and drinks will also be provided by organizers for attendees to purchase.

Banner printing often is an effective way for organizers of tournament events like this to decorate the designated venue.

The Complete Martial Arts 5th Annual Founder’s Championship is slated for Saturday, December 4 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm. It will take place at OYO Hotel and Conference Center located at 130 NJ Route 10, East Hanover. For information event registration and prices, visit the Federation’s registration webpage.
