This September, the oldest Greek society established by African American college women will present Rho Gamma Omega’s 36th Chapter Anniversary: A Night of Pink Elegance in East Hanover.
The Rho Gamma Omega is a chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated (AKA), which is the oldest Greek society established by African American college women. It was founded at Howard University in Washington DC and remains an international service organization. AKA boasts over 290,000 members in the US, Canada, the US Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Liberia, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. According to the event listing, it is frequently considered “America’s premier Greek letter organization for African American women.”
Rho Gamma Omega will celebrate its 36th year belonging to AKA and will commemorate its service to the Oranges/Maplewood, New Jersey area. The event will feature a live DJ spinning tunes to set the mood, and there will be a cocktail hour with an open bar for guests to mix and mingle with each other. A specially curated dinner will also be served. Galas like this will often utilize customized Invitations, which can be created and printed using local Stationery printers.
The gala is scheduled for Friday, September 8 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. It will be held at The Hanover Manor, which is at 16 Eagle Rock Avenue. Tickets are $150.
