Sew Jersey in East Hanover will hold the Introduction to Embroidery class next month to help sewers with their machine embroidery skills.
Sew Jersey is a sewing retailer with two locations – East Hanover and Paramus. The stores offer on-site machine repairs, fabrics, accessories, and classes and workshops. The East Hanover workshop will teach basic embroidery techniques using a machine. Participants are required to have rudimentary knowledge of how to run their machine, including how to turn on the machine, threading it, and winding and loading bobbins.
The class will go over best practices for machine embroidery, delving into topics such as needles, stitch types, threading, proper hooping methods, troubleshooting common problems, and editing designs in the machine. Participants will embroider a napkin, key fob, and tote bag. The workshop is designed for Brother machines, but all machines are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring their user manuals.
Instructional workshops that center around operating machinery will often involve materials such as user manuals and Brochures during class instruction. Event organizers can Print these manuals in bulk at most Print shops offering services such as brochure printing.
The embroidery class is scheduled for March 11 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Sew Jersey East Hanover is located at 36 State Route 10. Class registration is $95, and the kit fee is $30.
