East Hanover gets a 'Taste of Summer'

The Employment Horizons Culinary training is hosting a Taste of Summer event.

The event boasts a variety of vendors that would excite everyone's taste buds. A diverse group of vendors covers everything from homemade Polish cuisine, to coffee joints, to bakeries.

The event will begin with a cocktail hour where guests can try out a variety of drinks from beers, to handcrafted vodka and bourbon from the local Claremont Distilled Spirits. Additionally, there will be a silent auction.

The Taste of Summer event was initially planned to be hosted at the Birchwood Manor. However, this year, it will be a virtual event according, to the official website. This means guests will possibly receive a digital copy of Menus complete with the Logo Design of each establishment to help them differentiate between each experience.

The original date of the event is currently unchanged, so it will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $80. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Employment Horizons Culinary Program, which provides training for people with disabilities.

Although this will be a virtual event, Employment Horizons has not suggested that any of the vendors or potential tasting experiences have changed. The organization has promised to release more information detailing the changes to the event via its official website. Additionally, Danielle Baird can be contacted at 973 538 8822 x255 for questions and concerns about the event.
