This year will make the third annual Summer Antiques Expo, which will be held at the William G. Mennen Sports Arena. Over 60 vendors will be in attendance with a variety of wares.
The sports arena is entirely enclosed and air conditioned, with plenty of parking spaces outside. The show is hosted and organized by D. Turi Antique Shows, based in the Northeast and with multiple shows across New Jersey and New York. The venue is less than a 10-mile drive from East Hanover, and is easily accessible from multiple routes and freeways.
Stalls will be set up inside, with approximately six rows of vendors. Wares will range from comics, to antique Oriental rugs, to paintings and pottery. Many of the vendors are based in the surrounding area, and may have store fronts as well.
There will also be a restoration expert at the event, known for matching glazes and colors when restoring pottery and porcelain. Louis Pirello, owner of Restorations by Louis, will be set up at the expo to evaluate and conduct repairs on site.
Admission will be $10, although those with a printed ad can save $2. This type of event often uses printing services to have maps on hand for attendees.
This special event will last from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm this Sunday, July 28.
