East Hanover enjoys classical music and a festival

This year marks the 36th Annual Giralda Music & Arts Festival held in Morris, less than ten miles from East Hanover. The festival will feature the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.

The festival will be held at Giralda Farms, which used to be the Dodge estate. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic with them. Families in the past have been very creative with their picnics, and some picnics will be awarded prizes. There will be food trucks in attendance, and these will likely carry a variety of foods available.

The concert will be directed by conductor Jose Luis Dominguez. The orchestra will play a variety of music from composers such as Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Astor Piazzolla, and more. The concert will begin at 6:00 pm.

The festival will also have vendors displaying and selling a variety of art and fine crafts. There will also be a raffle with various prizes.

Tickets are currently on sale for $18 per adult, $4 per child, and those under four are free. At the gate, prices will increase to $25 per adult and $5 per child.
