East Hanover celebrates local artist

Lisa Palombo, an award-winning American Impressionist, opens her workshop every year for the public to showcase her new art.

This year will be the 18th annual holiday open studio that Palombo is showcasing. She has added a special Ode to Monet series, which was inspired by a trip she took to visit Monet’s garden in Giverny, France. The new collection features water colors on paper, as well as acrylic paintings. These paintings are various sizes and cover different subject matters.

Palombo is known for her brush strokes and unique palette, as she uses a wide range of colors. Her normal subjects include florals, equines, nautical subjects, still lifes, and waterscapes. Palombo’s studio is located in Caldwell, which is an easy seven-mile drive from East Hanover.

Children are welcome at this event. Light refreshments will be provided. The artist will be in attendance and will be available to talk. The event is free to attend and open to the public, but the only parking on the street. It will take place in a residential area, on Mountain Ave.
