East Hanover area entrepreneurs to pitch new business ideas

This June, the Women's Center for Entrepreneurship (WCEC) will hold the WCEC Business Plan Expo & Pitch Competition in Livingston, just minutes from East Hanover.

The WCEC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to lifting women up by providing education, resources, and financial support to help them start and operate their own businesses from the ground up. The organization helps achieve this mission by also offering networking events and professional conferences, such as the event happening in June.

The expo will take place in the morning and will include a light breakfast and networking. There will be WCEC client vendor tables to visit during the event, while the main event will be the pitch competition in which small businesses will pitch their ideas to the crowd as a kind of soft opening for their emerging business ventures. Coaches, community stakeholders, funders, and the WCEC board will be on hand to give constructive feedback. Awards will be presented to the top pitches.

Expos like this that involve networking with important industry figures may persuade attendees to bring along a supply of Business Cards to give out to potential business connections.

The pitch expo is scheduled for June 18 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. It will take place at the Eisenhower Corporate Campus, located at 290 West Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, just a few miles from East Hanover.
