Bike ride scheduled near East Hanover

A bike ride that has become extremely popular is scheduled for Madison, only a short distance from East Hanover.

The Revolutionary Ramble is an organized bike ride that is renowned throughout the mid-Atlantic states as one of the most well-organized cycling events in the area. There are rides of varying lengths available, including a 12-mile, 25-mile, 41-mile, 70-mile, and a 100-mile distance for those who enjoy a challenge. There is also a “gravel” ride that covers 63 miles. The rides are suitable for people of all ages and abilities and give riders a chance to tour some of the most historic and scenic areas in the region.

The Ramble is also a fundraiser for local emergency squads, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), and additional safe cycling and educational programs. NICA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mountain biking programs for high school students in the United States. Ramble Riders will enjoy marked roads, Garmin files, cue sheets, maps, support for SAG (Support and Gear—the vehicle that rescues riders), rest stops, and food. Banner printing can be used to create markers for courses like this.

The starting point is Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, except for the gravel ride, which begins and ends in Basking Ridge, at Pleasant Valley Park. Adult tickets are priced at $55, and the ride is set for July 24 at 6.30 am.
