A new service has been launched in East Brunswick that its founders hope will provide a warm welcome to people who are new to the area and looking for information.
This new initiative combines a website with personal visits to help newcomers get acquainted with everything the community as to offer. Company founder Marla Cukor-Camins noted that she and her husband have set up the WelcomeToEastBrunswick.com. website, and also prepared Welcoming Kits that are full of Brochures and coupons from a variety of local business and other service providers.
So far, contributions of promotional materials from a variety of retail outlets, home services, financial services, childcare, and personal care providers have been added to the kits. This gives these businesses a chance to make “first contact” with people who are new to the community, and can make them feel more at home. It can also assist them in locating a particular company when they find themselves in need of what they provide.
The welcome packages are delivered right to the front door of the person who requests one, and they are personalized so that they include information that is most relevant to their particular situation.
Since the company first started up, in August of 2015, it has been contacted by people who have moved to East Brunswick from both near and far. They have heard from new residents who have come from Europe and Egypt, as well as those who have come from across the U.S.
