Thai food is well known for its variety of flavors and fresh ingredients, and an activity planned for East Brunswick will introduce these to area locals and visitors alike.
A class that will cover an assortment of Thai cooking techniques has been scheduled for next month, and will be facilitated by top chef Maricel. These techniques will be taught utilizing a hands-on approach, and all experience levels are invited to enjoy the experience.
The attendees will be preparing a menu consisting of traditional Pad Thai, chicken coconut curry, spring rolls with sweet chili dipping sauce, and sticky rice with mango for dessert. Everyone will be invited to do some taste testing, and attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the history and culture of Thailand as they cook. Guests will also receive a packet of recipes to experiment with at home.
A cooking class can introduce those who take part to new methods in preparing an assortment of dishes, ranging from new cuisine to comfort food. Recipe cards, ingredient shopping checklists, and other printed items for an activity can be crafted by a local flyer printing company.
This tasty introduction to Thai cuisine and culture will take place at 111 Main Street in East Brunswick on February 28, and has a start time of 6:30pm.
