Playhouse 22 is now accepting submissions for shows for the 2013 – 2014 season.
Submissions from directors should include a cover letter containing the director’s contact information, a brief summary of the show no longer than one page, a copy of the script, a theatrical resume and letters of recommendation, staff levels requested per show, and available dates, as well as any possible conflicting dates.
The season is from September 2013 to summer 2014 and potential shows should allow for diverse and larger audiences. The Playhouse will also consider Black Box type shows that can be adapted to the main stage. Suggested shows should be considered experimental in nature.
January 1, 2013 is the deadline for all submissions. Mail entries should be directed to Playhouse 22, Play Selection Committee, P.O. Box 181, East Brunswick, NJ, 08816. Elsewhere, residents have until December 28, 2012 to bag up their fallen leaves for collection by the trash service. Biodegradable Bags should only contain leaves. Only bags will be collected and are available at the recycling center.
Once 2013 arrives, an exciting way to mark it will be through the New Jersey Lightfest, open through January 6 at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds, 655 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. The event opens at 5:30 pm and closing at 10:00 pm weekends and 9:00 pm weeknights.
