The largest barbecue-style restaurant chain the country has opened a new location in East Brunswick, which is the very first one in the whole state of New Jersey.
This branch of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is located at 77 Tices Lane, and during the grand opening celebrations, the first 50 customers were each given a gift card worth $50.00.
A local radio station also helped to mark the event with a live broadcast, and a further prize of a $500 gift card was awarded. Those who came out to take part and try the food for themselves were given Dickey’s branded merchandise to take home. According to Roland Dickey, who is the CEO of the company, it’s been very exciting to open this newest location and to see the chain expand into new markets across the US. He noted that barbecue-style food is becoming more popular all over the country, including in the east.
The operation, which is based in Dallas, opened in 1941. It has since grown to include nearly 500 locations in 42 states, and they cook all of their meals onsite.
