Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) has gone by many names over the years, but it still affects vets today. A fundraiser planned for East Brunswick will help to make sure relevant therapy programs are available and affordable to all veterans.
During ‘Cheers for Charity’, guests will be lending a helping hand to Unbroken Warriors, which is a not-for-profit group focusing on ensuring military members get the mental health support and other assistance they need if they are living with PTSD. They will be treated to a buffet-style supper that includes soft drinks and desserts, and a cash bar service will also be available.
Tickets for the evening are $40 each, and this includes the meal, non-alcoholic drinks and entertainment provided by a live DJ. A variety of local businesses and eateries have chosen to sponsor the event, and a raffle draw will see some of the guests at the event go home with a special prize.
The festivities are set to begin at 5:00 pm, and the fun will keep on going until they wrap up at 11:00 pm. Programs can be prepared by Stationery printers for this sort of function, and can include details about the function's charity of choice and how the funds raised will be used to help it in its work.
June 15 will be the date for this Cheers for Charity event. It will be held in the East Brunswick VFW.
