An East Brunswick area fundraiser will soon see chefs and doctors going head to head in a friendly competition to see who boasts the most culinary creativity.
Chefs from local eateries will be squaring off against doctors who work in area hospitals to prepare the best dish they can from a box of ingredients. The goal is to come up with the most tasty and creative dish. Both the doctors and chefs will be working with the same ingredients, including one that remains top secret.
The audience will be invited to sample and judge each of the recipes prepared, and there will be lots of other food and drinks served as well. Interactive activities and an auction are also on the agenda, and the proceeds from this experience will be used by the Community Liver Alliance to help support its efforts in the local area.
Tickets for the occasion are $50 each, and a special discount is being offered to Robert Wood Johnson employees and medical staff. The winner of the competition will receive bragging rights and a sense of satisfaction that can come with helping others. Stationery printers can prepare award certificates that the winners of this sort of contest can display in their office, kitchen, or other workplace.
This quest to determine who is at the top when it comes to creative cookery will be held on September 15, scheduled to take place at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
