East Brunswick area class to teach boating safety

New Jersey laws require that operators of personal water craft, including motorized equipment such as jet skis, to complete a boating safety certificate, and a course that will allow them to do so will be offered in the East Brunswick area early next month.

The class has been developed so that it meets the requirements set by the New Jersey Division of State Police Marine Law Enforcement. Those who plan on taking part will each receive a student manual to help them with their studies and that they can refer back to in the future. Items like this can be supplied by a local printing services provider.

Students are reminded to bring along a pen or other writing instrument to take notes, and there is space in the course manual to do so. The organizers have also made a video available that they recommend each pupil watches before they come to the class.

The fee for the session will be $75 per student, and it is open to anyone who is age 13 and over. Each participant who successfully completes the training will receive a certificate of completion, which is recognized in many states in the USA.

This class will help New Jersey to have a safe summer out on the water, and has been planned for August 5 at 249 Broadway in Keyport. More information can be found on the host’s website.
