East Brunswick activity to explore end-of-life issues

An upcoming local event will explore the topic of later life from an assortment of perspectives.

East Brunswick Public Library has made plans to host a workshop that will be a secular exploration of death and dying. Titled “Owning Your Dying,” it is part of its “Date With Death Club,” and everyone who is interested is encouraged to add their voice to the discussion.

The session, which will be facilitated by Karen Johnston, will introduce how dying can impact an individual and their families, and the attendees will be inducted to support in the community that can help them through the process. The role of Death Doulas will be discussed, and there will be time built into the activity for everyone to record their thoughts using a journal, laptop, or any other method they wish.

Workshops give the public an opportunity to learn more about topics that are not often talked about. Printers can provide the organizers of these activities with items and assistance ranging from promotional Pens to graphic design, as well as helpful marketing tips and advice.

The East Brunswick Public Library, which can be found at 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, has made arrangements to host this workshop on Saturday, January 8. The session will get underway at 3:00 pm and is open to anyone interested.
