Preparing healthy meals from scratch may sound like a time consuming process, but residents of East Brunswick can add to their culinary skills by participating in a meal prep workshop to simplify the task.
Participants will walk away with both knowledge and a set of recipes they can put to use in preparing food for their entire family.
During this interactive session, the learners will get some hands-on experience. They will learn about both meal prep and nutrition, and the goal is for them to develop healthy eating habits that can last for a lifetime.
The group will discuss meal planning and budgeting, as well as how to identify the different types of food. The importance of creating cuisine that is as appealing to the eye as it is to the palate will also be reviewed, and the students will even find out how easy it can be to swap out unhealthy food choices and replace them with dishes that are both tasty and nutritious.
A class like this can provide an introduction to healthy eating. Equipping each of the learners with a recipe book prepared by an area printing services company can help them to put their new skills and knowledge to use right in their own kitchen.
Out Run Your Fork’s Tony Bianchino will be the facilitator for this foodie-friendly event. It will be on offer at 220 S 6th Avenue in Highland Park on July 9.
