Visitors to the 76th annual County Fair in Middlesex this week have the opportunity to enjoy rides, craft vendors, food, animal competitions, and music.
The fair, which began yesterday, is offering vintage farm equipment and animal attractions to show the county’s agricultural heritage. Events such as county fairs are often advertised with flyer printing.
Alan Habiak, the Middlesex County Fair Association’s president, told NJ.com that the fair has been part of the community for more than 70 years, and that it strives to provide the area with a reasonably-priced, family-friendly event every year. He also stated that the response to the longer hours of the fair last year had been so positive that they had again expanded the hours of operation this year.
According to the fair’s website, the event draws as many as 85,000 annual visitors, and counts itself as one of the largest outdoor events in the county. Attendees, who are likely to travel from nearby areas like East Brunswick, can enjoy a variety of musical acts and events, visit many vendor tents and exhibits, and participate or observe a number of competitions.
From today through Friday, the fair will run from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Saturday’s hours are 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, and the fair concludes on Sunday with hours of 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Admission prices are $7 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $1 for kids from 3-12 years old. Kids under three enter free, and anyone who donates blood with the Blood Center of New Jersey will also receive free admission.
