What's Happening in Cherry Hill, NJ…

Summer concert series fast approaching in Cherry Hill

The Barclay Farmstead in Cherry Hill will soon have its summer concert series Under the Stars. Concerts are held outdoors and local food trucks will be on the premises selling food. Concerts begin at 6:30 pm.

The first concert will be on July 9, when the Glimmer Twins will perform. This eight-piece band captures the sounds and moves of the Rolling Stones, performing the likes of Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, Angie, and Gimme Shelter.

Jakes Country Rocking Band will perform on July 16. This is an award-winning country band from the tristate area that serves up country music by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton. The group also ventures into Southern rock music by the Eagles, Doobie Brothers, The Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and the Allman Brothers Band.

On July 23, The Jersey Beach Boys take the stage. They recreate the songs and sounds of the Beach Boys and Franki Valli and The Four Seasons.

Don’t Call Me Francis completes the schedule for the month on July 30. This group has 10 members and is a multi-instrument ensemble, and plays music from the 1930s right through to the present. The group has played with the Beach Boys and at Disneyland.

Food trucks will be selling ice cream, yogurt, popcorn, milkshakes, grilled chicken, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and soft drinks. Cherry Hill has print shops that design and provide flyer printing for events like this.

The Barclay Farmstead, where the concerts are to be held, is located at 209 Barclay Lane.
