While summer may be a time for fun, the need for blood never takes a vacation, and a Cherry Hill drive will ensure that its stocks stay high.
The American Red Cross will be running a Blood Drive in mid-August, and everyone who participates in the activity may help save a life. It will run for five hours, and the organizers have requested that, if possible, appointments be made in advance.
The function will take place at the Carman Tilelli Community Center, and all blood types are in demand. Those who plan on taking part are asked to consider making a Power Red donation, as red blood cells are the most commonly used blood component. When they arrive, they will be asked to register and complete a brief health check, and IDs will be required. The time it takes for the blood collection will vary depending on the type being made, but it typically sits between 10 minutes for whole blood and two hours for anyone making a platelet contribution.
Getting the word out to as many as possible without having to break the bank to do so is often an important consideration for charitable groups promoting an activity to the public. A flyer printing company can prepare materials that can be very effective when it comes to marketing an event.
The American Red Cross has scheduled this blood drive for August 14th. The Community Center is located at 820 Mercer Street.
