Cherry Hill Library hosts Austen-themed fundraiser

A fundraiser will celebrate 250 years of Jane Austen at the Cherry Hill Public Library, with registrations still being accepted at the time of writing.

The afternoon activity will include a tea house, a movie, and a make-and-take activity. Suitable for all ages, the event will run for three hours and will take place in the Conference Center on the venue’s lower level. The function is taking place thanks to support from the Friends of the Library.

Each attendee at the celebration will be treated to an afternoon tea, which includes four tea-style sandwiches as well as a scone and spread, and iced tea and gourmet cupcakes will round out the menu. A Jane Austen movie will be screened, but to add an extra touch of fun, ticketholders will be able to cast their vote for which one will be shown. Everyone can make a fascinator to take home.

Choosing suitable decor for this type of event can be a snap with help from a local banner printing company. These companies can work with most budgets, and can offer both single-use and reusable options.

The Cherry Hill Public Library will be hosting its Tea Party Fundraiser on Sunday, March 1, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The final date to reserve a ticket is February 16, and they are priced at $35.
