Public library to become market on the hill
The Cherry Hill Public Library (CHPL) will be holding a Flea Market in its parking lot next month. All proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase new books and study materials for the library.
The library will have used books, DVDs, music CDs and records, and audiobooks for sale, with prices ranging from $0.25 to $2 each. Donations of gently used items for this sale are being accepted at the library.
Vendors are also welcome to attend this event, at a cost of $25 per designated spot. Participating vendors can sell merchandise, and may use brochure printing to promote their product or service. Merchants will be expected to bring their own table and chair for use during the sale. There are limited spaces available. Retailers wishing to reserve a spot may contact Jennie Purcell by calling (856) 903-1204, or by emailing jpurcell@chplnj.org.
The Cherry Hill Public Library provides free memberships to adults and children who are residents of the city. Non-residents may purchase a membership for a small fee. The library relies on fundraisers and donations from supporters to add new materials to its archives. Residents may support the library through monetary donations, event sponsorship, by purchasing a bookplate or library tote bag, or by volunteering.
The CHPL Flea Market will be held on Saturday, June 12 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. As the sale will be held outdoors in the parking lot, should it be required, the rain date will be on Saturday June 19. The library is located at 1100 Kings Highway North.
