Cherry Hill area to host springtime plant swap
Spring is fast approaching, and Cherry Hill is invited to welcome the arrival of the season by attending an event planned for the community.
Early April will see local gardeners enjoy a plant swap, which may just help them to bring in their gardening plans under budget. Seeds, planters, cuttings, and other horticultural items can be traded, and everyone who takes an item is asked to leave one for someone else.
Those who plan on bringing plants or materials to exchange are asked to make sure their contributions are properly labelled with the plant’s name and care tips, and they should be thoroughly watered to prevent them drying out in transit or during the swap. Everyone is asked to check their items are pest- and disease-free, and isolation of any new plants for a few days after they are brought home is highly recommended.
As well as the plant swap, the function will include a pop-up market for local vendors, and everyone who comes out is asked to show some love to these small businesses. There will also be food trucks on site. A poster printing company will be able to aid in promoting special events and activities to the public.
The April Plant Swap and Shops will be helping to kick off the spring planting season on April 9. The location for the function will be 118 Creek Road in Mount Laurel.
