Cherry Hill area activity honors former military members
An event that will serve those who served will be held aboard the historic Battleship New Jersey, and Cherry Hill veterans are invited to join in.
Dubbed “Serenity at Sea,” the gathering organized by Veterans Yoga Project will strive to bring a sense of peace and healing to those who take part. Billed as a one-of-a-kind experience, the dress code for the attendees will be casual and comfortable.
The activity will open with a memorial ceremony that honors the lives of those lost, as well as their families, and this will be followed by a sunset yoga session. Featured speaker Andy Jackson, who is the American Legion NJ State Commander will, address the group, and all levels of yoga ability, from those who have never tried it before to fully-fledged experts may find the experience meaningful. Both chair and mat options will be available, and the function will last for two hours.
Events intended for currently serving and former military members may utilize decor that incorporates special unit or platoon logos. This can be prepared by a banner printing company.
Serenity on the Sea will be honoring both former military members and the fallen on Sunday, May 18 at 62 Battleship Place in Camden. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm and continue on until 7:00 pm.
