This spring, soccer clinics will be held at Plymouth State University (PSU), providing an opportunity for local young people to demonstrate their skills in front of college coaches.
Geared towards both males and females who are at least 16 years of age and hope to one day play NCAA soccer, the half-day clinics are scheduled for March. At present, the clinics are slated for Sunday, March 8 with the first clinic being for the boys from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. The girls’ clinic will begin at 2:15 pm and continue to 5:30 pm. Between the two clinics, both groups will have the option to take part in a joint admissions tour from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Banner printing services help attendees or participants of events to locate where they are taking place.
The clinics, which are limited to 28 participants, provide these young players with the opportunity to discover what is required to succeed at the collegiate level. Participants learn about the emotional, physical, technical, and tactical rigors necessary, and how even at the Division III soccer level it can be a significant adjustment.
The clinics will be run by Rob Wright (PSU head coach) and Sammy Blizzard Bogardus (women’s head coach) with the help of their staff. Participants will have access after the clinic to video training session footage, and will be provided with a PSU soccer T-shirt.
