Plymouth hospital launches strength training classes

The RehabFit program at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth is offering a new series of classes in January – Intro to Strength Training.

The four-week program will begin on January 5, 2026, and will meet from 5 pm to 6 pm every Monday and Wednesday. The classes are designed for strength training novices with a goal of building confidence in a controlled fitness environment and will take place at the hospital’s Boulder Point location’s RehabFit Group Exercise Room.

Participants will be introduced in the series to the foundational strength-training movements, learning proper form and exercise techniques to ensure safety from experienced fitness professionals. Instructors will supply a supportive atmosphere regardless of the individual’s experience level with the small-group format enabling them to provide personalized training.

Pamphlets detailing healthy living information are among the many printed materials hospitals can source from local Print shops.

The price for the program is $80 for non-members while it will cost RehabFit members only $50. Early registration is encouraged as class space limited.
