Governor Chris Sununu; Chuck Morse, President of the New Hampshire Senate and Donald Birx, President of Plymouth State University (PSU) came together recently to announce the formation of the Center for Cybersecurity at Plymouth State University.
An online program amounting to 480 hours of intensive training has been developed by Cybint, a leader in global cybersecurity education. The program, to be taught by PSU faculty and launched July 1, will help New Hampshire workers move their careers forward by increasing their skills in one of the fastest-growing industries in the world.

The field of cybersecurity has experienced growth of over 3,000% over the last 10 years. The cybersecurity online program will permit the flexibility needed for employees from the state’s largest companies, down to sole proprietorships, to participate without interfering in attendance or productivity in the workplace.
Over 1,000 cybersecurity positions were vacant in just New Hampshire as of last October. Over the last 10 years and throughout the recent economic downturn, the field of cybersecurity has had an unemployment rate of nearly zero percent.
The remote workforce has grown considerably since the pandemic, and cyber job growth is anticipated to rise by 350% through the rest of 2021.
Entry level positions in cybersecurity have a starting salary as high as $80,000 annually.
