Plymouth yard sale scheduled, vendors and sponsors sought

The date has been set for the annual Plymouth Town Wide Yard Sale, and organizers are actively seeking vendors and sponsors for the fundraising event.

The event, the primary location for which is the Plymouth Municipal Airport, is free to the public. Several additional organized sites will be scattered about the city, as well as individual yard sales throughout Plymouth. Residents are encouraged to invite their out-of-town relatives and friends for an all-day yard sale shopping excursion.

Started 27 years ago as a means to raise funds for the Plymouth Area Community Closet, monies from the event have, since 2013, been going to the Bridge Shelter’s Homes 4 Veterans fund here in Plymouth.

Over 100 families, businesses, and non-profits have been known to take part in the Town Wide Yard Sale, which attracts approximately 50-plus vendors at its primary site at the airport. Last year it was estimated that this group site was visited by no less than 600 customers, judging by the number of cars parked at the airport. Yard Sale Maps will be made available showing the various private yard sale sites around town.

Many organizations seize the opportunity to distribute Promotional Products at an event such as this one.

Bridge House Shelter serves veterans and their families as they transition to permanent housing. It is the only shelter that allows vets to bring their furry sidekicks with them.

The sale takes place 9:00 am to 3:00 pm rain or shine on Saturday, September 9.
