A new supermarket will be opening in spring called Market Basket in Plymouth. Operations manager for Market Basket, David McLean, has expressed his excitement that the store is almost completed.
The new store will have an store bakery, full-service butcher shop, groceries, deli, sushi, seafood department, and prepared food to take home and eat. At the Market Kitchen Café, customers can sit and eat breakfast sandwiches, coffee, donuts, prepared foods, and soft drinks.
The cheese case at the store has over 300 types of cheese, and these include gluten-free products and other specialty items for customers on special diets – all part of a quest to be a one-stop shopping center for local customers.
The new Market Basket will be 69,000 square feet and is expected to attract customers from Plymouth and surrounding towns along I-93. It will be located near Walmart and a local liquor store.
While they worked on the inside of the store this winter, store officials set up a trailer to interview and hire store staff. The store seeks to hire about 300 employees with full- and part-time jobs, of which around 70 – 80% have been filled.
This location will be the company’s northernmost store. Printers design Flyers and Print weekly flyers for openings like this.
